NOVEMBER 2011
Upon completion of his second Olympic Training Center Medical Rotation, Dr. Marc Taczanowski was pleased to learn that his presence will be requested at the World Championships of Bobsled and Skeleton in Lake Placid in February of 2012. “I look forward to continuing my relationship with the sliders vying for an entry into the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia. If I continue to provide quality service to the athletes, my invitation to the games may be facilitated. I will keep my fingers crossed.”
SEPTEMBER 2011
Once again Dr. Marc Taczanowski has been asked to participate in the Olympic Medical Training program. This time he will gain valuable Winter event experience by traveling up to Lake Placid to work with Luge, Bobsled, and Skeleton athletes as the ice track opens in October. This second rotation certainly improves Dr. Marc’s chances of acceptance into the Olympic Games. Dr. Daniel Holland’s timing could not have been more impeccable. He will be able to aid Dr. Hope in maintaining their busy Nesconset practice.
JULY 2011
Big news for our office. Dr. Dan Holland is joining the practice. His bio will be posted shortly. Some key points about Dan include the fact that he is certified in the Active Release Technique, the Graston Technique, and he accepts the MPN or New York State Government Employee Plan. Currently, he is in on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with full time status beginning in September. We also will be accepting the MPN plan in September. 7 Years of applying and they finally caved! Look for us on News 12 in the coming month as well.
MARCH 2011
Drs. Hope and Marc embarked on the final chapter in the field of Sports Medicine by beginning the Sports Diplomate course from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (www.acbsp.com). This grueling 200 hour intensive study includes live and online sessions, in addition to the publishing of a paper and associated field study. This is the highest designation attainable in the Sports Medicine subspecialty and upon completion it will make Drs. Hope and Marc the only Sports Diplomates to practice on Long Island. They will be two of the 12 Chiropractors who hold this distinction in the state of New York, and they will be among the elite 140 Sports Diplomates in the Nation.
